Position Summary:
 
Using health equity as the foundational value, UCI Public Health is positioned to create a national model for health and well-being for all our communities, shifting the paradigm for public health research, training, and education. We are creating sustainable strategies against environmental risk factors, improving healthcare access, implementing innovative solutions to tackling current and emerging diseases, and reducing the burden of chronic disease through methodologies like network modeling and big data analytics.
 
Under supervision of the PI, the Research Operations Associate is responsible for the study recruitment and data reporting for the SERVE OC, SEARCH Lab, and other grant related research projects. Responsibilities include managing the recruitment and enrollment for research studies, follow-up and retention activities; collecting data; lead RedCap entries with data coordinators; lead for one-year data collection follow-up efforts; co-lead CHW trainings; ad-hoc projects related to grant administration.

$30.73 – $49.43 (Hourly Rate)

 

Required:

  • 3-5 years in public health or similar field with focus on research programs and initiatives
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; 
  • Master’s Degree (or substantial experience) in a related health-related field. 
  • Data analysis skills preferred (quantitative and/or qualitative). 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to relate easily and effectively with people within and outside the University, including both strong written and verbal communications. 
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
  • Skill to use a computer software programs at the level of sophistication required for general office work. 
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Familiarity with the Internet and how to conduct searches. 
  • Proficient writing skills to prepare/compose/review a variety of communications, primarily electronic.

 

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in social & behavioral research and health promotion program preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred in Public Health or similar discipline

 

Special Conditions Required:

  • Weekends and Evening; off-business hours
