About the Role
As the Research Outputs Coordinator, you’ll lead a dynamic team driving the University’s research outputs service. Your role involves offering top-tier guidance, efficient administration, and robust support to Academic Divisions, ensuring precise documentation and promotion of scholarly research outputs, encompassing both traditional and innovative works.

Joining the Research Information and Engagement team within Scholarly Services, this position is at the forefront of advancing academic excellence. Emphasising process enhancement, you’ll keep the service aligned with technological advancements and reporting standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a high-functioning research outputs team that delivers a complete and accurate research outputs collection for the University
  • Providing expert support for academic staff to manage their researcher profiles
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across the University to ensure the effective collection, classification, and presentation of traditional and non-traditional research outputs
  • Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to support funder compliance and open access.

Who we are looking for
You will be a leader who can effectively manage a professional team to achieve shared outcomes. You will possess highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to convey complex information and concepts to specialist and non-specialist audiences. Your advanced level of organisational and management skills will enable you to prioritise and complete tasks to meet deadlines. You will be able to proactively influence and form positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • A relevant undergraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a leader of a professional team to achieve shared outcomes, exercising formal and informal leadership as appropriate
  • Experience in working with a research outputs collection in the higher education sector, with a proven ability to innovate and lead service improvements.

Your new team – Student and Scholarly Services
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation.  This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

This role sits within the Research, Information and Engagement team in Student and Scholarly Services, which provides high-quality expertise-based services to researchers in areas of digitisation, digital stewardship, and scholarly communications
