The Opportunity
Are you passionate about research excellence and impact? Do you have experience in managing research outputs and data platforms? Do you enjoy leading and mentoring a team of dedicated professionals? If yes, then you might be the perfect candidate for the Research Outputs Lead position at the Monash University Library.
As the Research Outputs Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the Research Outputs module within the University’s Research Management System and other platforms that contain research outputs such as Bridges, the University’s instance of Figshare
- Supporting research impact and dissemination including support for Open Access and FAIR data
- Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across the University as well as vendors and platforms to support research impact
- Providing leadership to the Research Outputs Collection Service (ROCS) team in the delivery of high-level and professional services and effective achievement of the Library’s priorities
- Providing expert advice at both strategic and operational levels
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in research management, information management, or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the delivery and innovative use of technologies to manage research outputs
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability prepare professional documentation for various audiences and to liaise, advise and negotiate at high levels
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff
- A high level of initiative, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to deliver positive solutions to complex problems
