Admission Requirements: The candidate needs to have proven research experience and scientific outcomes in Software Defined Networks, Real-time Networks and Message Brokers.
 

Work Objectives: The candidate will address Time Sensitive Network-related aspects for the convergence of IT and OT systems, design and validating a proof of concept in laboratorial and industrial experimental scenarios. The candidate will also support the project’s operation, as well as dissemination of results into prestigious scientific fora.
 

Applicable legislation: A fellowship will be celebrated according to “Estatuto do Bolseiro de Investigação”, Law no. 40/2004, dated on 18th of August (Status of Scientific Research Fellow – https://dre.pt/dre/legislacao-consolidada/lei/2004-58216179 ), in its actual redaction, by Fellowship Regulation of Fundação para Ciência e Tecnologia (https://files.dre.pt/2s/2019/12/241000000/0009100105.pdf ), according to Reg. 950/2019, dated on 16th of December, and also by “Regulation of Instituto de Telecomunicações’ fellowships”.
 

Place of work: Instituto de Telecomunicações, Branch of Leiria under the supervision of Prof. Rafael Caldeirinha.

Duration: 18 months Start date: 1 of March or soon thereafter.

Monthly salary: 1.741,00 € According to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores ) / according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by Instituto de Telecomunicações. The payment will be made by bank transfer.
 

Selection criteria: C1 (40%) Curriculum vitae/Academic evaluation C2 (50%) Suitability of the candidates’ profile to the project based on the relevant work experience in the tasks described in the work plan C3 (10%) Interview.

The Jury has the right to not admit any of the candidates that applied for this position whenever they consider that no candidate meets the minimum requirements for the position.

Communication of the results: Results will be published at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, in Coimbra. The selected candidate will be notified by email.

After the notification of the results, candidates have 10 working days if they wish to contest the decision.
