Research Scientist / Postdoctoral / Transition Scholar Positions

Multiple positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Venuprasad Poojary in the Department of Internal Medicine and Immunology at the UT Southwestern Medical Center. Our lab studies cancer immunology and inflammation in mouse models (Singh A. et al. Nat. Commun 2023; Kathania M et al. Cell Reports, 2022; Kumar R et al., Trends in Immunol, 2022; Thiess et al., Cell Reports, 2022; Mukherjee S et al. Nat. Immunol, 2021; Singh AK et al. Nat. Commun, 2021; Kathania M et al., Nat. Immunol, 2016, etc.). Our goal is to identify key regulatory mechanisms in the immune cells that regulate inflammation and to target these pathways. For Research Scientist positions, the candidates must hold a Ph.D. in any branch of biological sciences, and 2-5 years of postdoctoral training is required.

 

For postdoctoral positions, the candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in any branch of biological sciences. 

 

For transition Scholars, the candidate must be an international graduate student enrolled at a foreign university who will have a gap (2-12 months) between the time the degree requirements are met (including required coursework, research, and submission of dissertation for evaluation) and the official conferral of the doctoral degree.  Once the degree is conferred and evaluated by a credentialing company, they will transition to a postdoc position.
