Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve Virginia (CBNERR-VA) is one of 30 sites in the National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) system, and has a mandate to conduct research, stewardship, education, and coastal training. CBNERRVA operates from VIMS, and is the steward of 4 unique reserves along the York River that protect a variety of estuarine habitats.
The Research Specialist I will support reserve staff focused on habitat-based projects and planning and implementing coastal ecosystem monitoring programs, specifically supporting field and laboratory operations for seagrass, marsh and natural resource monitoring and projects. This position is a temporary (hourly) position not to exceed 6 months.
