Position Summary
The Research Specialist- Shimamura Lab contributes to the design and delivery of research projects, and collaborates with researchers to develop, execute and interpret research projects. This position will reform complex laboratory and data collection techniques.
Duties & Responsibilities
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field required. Master’s degree in science preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
- Proficient in specific lab research techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Requires B.A./B.S. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, or related area.
- Minimum of 2 years of wet lab/bench experience in academic research setting.
- Preferred knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques such as western blotting and PCR
- Ability to work hands-on with mice and mammalian model systems.
- Preferred experience with orthotopic/GEMM animal models
