Offer Description

Applications are open for 1 Research Studentship, within the framework of the project “R2UTechnologies – Modular Systems”, reference C644876810-00000019, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF

Workplan: The work to be carried out is aimed at studying modular construction panels and focuses on modelling vibration and noise transmission and experimental characterization of full-scale prototypes, with final development of automatic calculation tools for predicting the acoustic performance of different configurations of precast panels.

Duration: The research fellowship will have the duration of 6 months. It’s expected to begin in March 2024, and is renewable up to the maximum of 21 months.

Benefits

Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_2023.pdf ), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € 1,199.64, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.

Eligibility criteria

Admission Requirements:  To hold a master degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and be enrolled at a PhD course on the date of signature of the scholarship contract.

Selection process

Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: Curriculum evaluation (50%) and individual online interview (50%).

Composition of the selection Jury: Professors: Eduardo Santos Júlio; Albano Neves e Sousa; and Maria da Glória Gomes.

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.

Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal . A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
