Job title: High-Security Blockchain-Based System for Privacy-Preserved Management of Patient Data for Digital Health Services (HELENE)

This contract is part of the HELENE project (TED2021-129433A-C22), financed by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union “NextGenerationEU”/PRTR”, being TED2021- 129433A-C22 the reference that appears in the resolution of concession; MCIN the acronym for the Ministry of Science and Innovation; AEI the acronym for the State Investigation Agency; 10.13039/501100011033 the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) of the Agency; and PRTR, the acronym for the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
TASKS TO BE PERFORMED
HELENE is a project that aims to develop a sustainable open-source platform for direct-to-consumer health services based on Blockchain. This will make it possible to protect the privacy of patient data through high security mechanisms and, at the same time, it will allow them to determine how their data are managed. In this way, the developed system will guarantee secure data exchanges between patients and health service providers, providing reliability and transparency when sharing patient data. In addition, data exchanges can be carried out in a standardized way to facilitate software integration.
The tasks to be carried out will be linked to the development of the aforementioned platform. Specifically, work packages WP2.3 and WP2.4 include the tasks related to this contract, which involve collaborating in: (1) the implementation of the platform; (2) the integration of the platform; (and 3) the test and validation of the platform.
CONTRACT DURATION
The contract will be for a fixed term, in accordance with applicable law. Be noted that this call is framed on the HELENE project, scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2024.

Skills/Qualifications
Required degree: Bachelor’s degree on Engineering, Sciences or equivalent.
Having taken a Master in the area of Information Technology or related to Industry 4.0 technologies will be valued positively.
Likewise, previous professional experience in data traceability technologies, blockchain systems, distributed registry systems and smart contract programming languages will be valued positively

Eligibility criteria
The merits claimed by the participants will have to be documented and fulfilled by the end of the application submission period. Only the merits related to the profile of the position will be valued. The position will be vacated if no candidate reaches a minimum of 40 points according to the following scale:
o Academic degree. The average mark of the required degree will be scored up to 5 points (e.g. average mark of the graduate or master’s degree).
Average mark: 10 or equivalent —- 10 points
Average mark: 9 or equivalent —- 8 points
Average mark: 8 or equivalent —- 6 points
Average mark: 7 or equivalent —- 4 points
Average mark: 6 or equivalent —- 2 point
If the Degree is on the field of Engineering, the score will be taken fully. In any other field of knowledge, the score taken will be 5% of the average mark.
o Additional specific training related to the specific profile of this call, up to 40 points.
Master’s degrees and courses related with the call profile: 1 point per 100 hours taken, up to 30 points.
English level C1 or higher, 10 points.
o Specific experience (previous positions, R&D projects, etc.) related to the specific profile of the call: up to 20 points.
Experience in previous positions related to the object of this call: 5 points per year, up to 10 points.
Previous experience on R&D projects in the field of this call: 5 points per European project, 4 national and 3 regional (up to 10 points).
o Experience on scientific publications and research production on the topic of this call, up to 10 points.
Only JCR published articles related to the subject of the call will be scored (5 points per article Q1, 4 for Q2, 2 for Q3 and 1 for Q4).
o Personal interview: the suitability of the curriculum vitae to the job will be assessed. Up to 25 points will be granted. The candidates with the highest score in the previous items and that obtained a minimum of 20 points (only the first three candidates) will be interviewed. Failure to attend the interview will exclude the candidate. Candidates will be called for the interview at least 48 hours in advance.
