The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) is dedicated to reducing poverty and hunger through rice science; improving the health and welfare of rice farmers and consumers; and protecting the rice-growing environment for future generations. IRRI is an independent, nonprofit, research and educational institute, founded in 1960 by the Ford and Rockefeller foundations with support from the Philippine government.
The institute, headquartered in Los Baños, Philippines, has offices in 17 rice-growing countries in Asia and Africa, and over 1,000 staff. Working with in-country partners, IRRI develops advanced rice varieties that yield more grain and better withstand pests and disease as well as flooding, drought, and other harmful effects of climate change.
This position is based at Andhra Pradesh and must only be filled by the permanent residents of India.

- Collect data and information from different agronomic field activities, farmers, and other related activities
- Execute routine field work
- Support in implementing training and other field level activities
- Support other project activities
- Work with project team for regular support and field activities
- Interact with targeted farmers for necessary information, data, and implementation of activities
- Regularly update supervisors and line managers about the field level activities
- Actively support project team in implementation of the project activities
- Support in institute wide activities as and when required
- Organize field level materials required for implementation of the activities
- Collect required data from the field sites and farmers
- Support in organizing field level farmers’ training and awareness programs.

- Organize Scientist field visits
- Timely completion of the planned activities

Qualifications:
- Intermediate in science with 4-5 years of work experience in field and rural areas
Skills Required:
Mandatory:
Mandatory:
- Experience in office related work and data collection using Kobo tool box and other CAPI tools
- Basic knowledge of MS Office programs such as Word and Excel
Preferred:
- Working experience with national/international research organization
Languages:
- Good command over Telugu, Hindi and English language
