Summary of Job Duties:
*This is a Part-Time Position*
The Research Technician is responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and care of a research laboratory, and assisting in laboratory experiments. The technician, will work as part of a team in a microbiology and immunology lab to study host immune responses to viral infections. Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED plus two (2) years of performing tests in a research laboratory required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Basic knowledge on molecular biology, aseptic tissue culture.

• Must work closely with various laboratory animal specimens.

• Familiar with Microsoft office software.

• Ability to keep organized records and notes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with college level coursework in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry and/or cell biology.

• Experience working in a research laboratory related molecular biology or cell biology.

• Proficient working with mice or rabbits

• PCR, Western Blot, ELISA experience.
