A part-time, 25% FTE, Research Technician 4 position is available immediately in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering (FABE) in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) at The Ohio State University (OSU).

The successful candidate will conduct basic and applied research as well as coordinate data on agricultural water management, soil health, and water quality. The candidate will work on various research and Extension projects within this area of research. The individual will provide support to the Overholt Drainage Education and Research Program and International Program for Water Management in Agriculture. Associated responsibilities include coordinating activities for the annual Overholt Drainage School and International Drainage Hall of Fame and assisting with other Extension and outreach programs associated with drainage, agricultural water management and soil health. The individual will act as a leader and subject matter expert for other research personnel working within the lab. The individual should have proven experience in coordinating and organizing Extension/Outreach programs and activities or managing large research projects and team working in the area of agricultural water management, soil health, and water quality.

The position will be mostly remote, but occasional travel will be required to the OSU Columbus campus. The position is for a period of up to 1 year. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Vinayak Shedekar, Assistant Professor in FABE. The position also offers opportunities to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff within CFAES FABE’s department.
