We are currently seeking a Researcher to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Researcher, you will provide research and project management support on international climate change processes.

Working within our Climate Change Group, you will assist a range of our teams and implement capacity-strengthening activities that respond to the needs and priorities of Least Developed Countries.

You will also contribute to organising and implementing project planning, delivery and reporting, working with partners and subcontractors to procure inputs for complex projects.

Additionally, you will:

– Write research findings for publication and dissemination
– Participate in meetings and events
– Develop and co-ordinate funding proposals
– Sustain long term relationships with funders

About You

To be considered as a Researcher, you will need:

– Experience working in the UNFCCC space, preferably supporting country delegations
– Experience implementing capacity-strengthening projects and training in the field of climate change and/or Paris Agreement decisions
– Experience of team co-ordination such as managing meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences both in-person and online
– The ability to generate research and project ideas and translate them into fundraising concepts, proposals and applications
– A postgraduate degree in a relevant environmental or social science discipline or equivalent experience

Please note IIED will support a UK visa for this role if re-location is requested.

IIED is a hybrid working organisation and you are likely to be working from home most of the time. As such, you will need a suitable place to work and a reliable, fast internet connection.
