Offer Description
The Grenoble Electrical Engineering Laboratory (G2Elab) covers a scientific spectrum ranging from materials and components to the design and control of electrical energy systems. G2Elab’s activities in this field can be summed up by the following keywords: electrical energy, materials for electrical engineering, innovative processes and systems, modeling and design.
With around 100 permanent staff, 100 PhD students and more than 70 Masters students, post-doctoral fellows and visiting professors, G2Elab is a major national and international player at the heart of the energy efficiency of components and systems. The SYREL (SYstèmes et Réseaux ELectriques) team focuses on the evolution, optimization and control of electrical systems. These include systems for producing, transporting and using electrical energy, whether for housing, data centers, on-board networks, distribution or transport.
One of the characteristics of the team is that it carries out both upstream and applied research in a sector that is strongly linked to industrial applications, major demonstrators and large-scale national and European projects. SYREL is, among other criteria, the largest academic team in France, in terms of number of researchers, in electrical engineering research dealing with power systems and networks. Its activity in distribution networks is internationally recognized.
Offer description :
The work to be carried out will take place within the framework of the ANR PEPR TASE PowDev collaborative research project whose partners are 5 French laboratories from different scientific diciplines (Power grids, optimization, climate, operational research) . The person recruited will be in charge of Work Package 2 “Analysis and Characterization – WP2 – Power grid resilience analysis and characterization through complex systems approach” led by G2Elab (see WP2 scientific program attached). Interaction with the other Work Packages of the project led by the other partner laboratories will be necessary.
