The Department of Political Science is a dynamic and strong education and research department at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Stockholm University. The Department aims to be nationally leading and internationally prominent within its field of research and education.
Project description
The position will be associated with the Comparative Policy Laboratory (COMPLAB) module in the national infrastructure DEMSCORE financed by the Swedish Research Council. COMPLAB is a joint research venture devoted to the study of comparative policy, consisting of partners from Department of Political Science, Stockholm University, SOFI, Stockholm university, and Department of Political Science, Uppsala University. The successful applicant will be part of a team of researchers studying causes and consequences of public policy making in the issue areas of environment, welfare, and migration in a cross-national and longitudinal perspective.
Main responsibilities
The position involves data collection, project management tasks and teaching. In particular, the researcher will be responsible for coordinating and managing the collection of comparative environmental policy data.
Qualification requirements
Researchers are appointed primarily for purposes of research and must hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.
Assessment criteria
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in political science or in an adjacent discipline. In addition, a successful candidate will have one or several of the following skills:
In the appointment process, strong emphasis will be placed on data management and research skills demonstrated in scientific publications and reports. Emphasis will also be placed on the applicant´s ability to work in a research team.
Terms of employment
The position involves full-time employment for 12 months with a strong possibility of extension. Start date as per agreement.
