Internews South Sudan is seeking a Lead Researcher for one rapid Information Ecosystem Assessment in Wedweil, Northern Bahr-el-Ghazel, and for two brief follow-up assessments in Renk and Malakal, Upper Nile State. These assessments form part of a WFP-funded project supporting their efforts to strengthen Accountability to Affected Populations, which is run by Internews and its two partners, Community Engagement Network (CEN) and The Radio Community (TRC). Information Ecosystem Assessments are a way to understand the supply and demand components of the information environment in which people live, their information needs, gaps and preferences. • Compile data and do quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Write assessment reports, including feedback from data gathering teams, and Internews, CEN and TRC staff.
  • Produce final assessment reports and present as needed to the humanitarian community in South Sudan.
  • This project may require some travel to Wedweil, Renk or Malakal to collaborate with Internews, CEN and TRC teams.

The ideal candidate or team will have the following qualifications:
