Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Residence Hall Coordinators serve as vital contributors to the administration and management of a comprehensive housing program with primary duties situated in one residence hall of 250 – 700 residents, some of which house living learning communities. The RHC is responsible for the daily operations of a residence hall or group of residence halls including building management, process administration, and general departmental responsibilities.
The RHC position is responsible for implementing our residential curriculum that focuses on providing growth, enhancing perspective and building community while keeping students engaged.
Each RHC is responsible for the selection and supervision of student staff members. The RHC position reports directly to an Associate Director for Residence Life. Residence Hall Coordinators are required to live in their assigned hall.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: One year of successful residence life experience and an in-depth knowledge of theories and practices within the field of college student personnel, student affairs, and/or housing and residence life.

Masters’ Degree preferred.
Job Duties:
- 25% – Serve as point of contact within the assigned residential community for departmental processes, occupancy management, and high-level maintenance and facility issues – (Essential)
- 20% – Maintain presence in assigned residence hall and develop an inclusive and engaged residential community in accordance to the departmental residential curriculum – (Essential)
- 15% – Provide on-scene response to campus situations utilizing departmental protocol and procedures – (Essential)
- 10% – Manage the disciplinary processes and address student conduct issues in the residence hall. – (Essential)
- 25% – Supervise student staff through weekly staff meetings, one-on-one meetings, regular evaluations, and departmental performance management process – (Essential)
- 5% – Participate in assigned departmental committees and responsibilities – (Essential)
