The Resident Program Director (RPD) is responsible for all programmatic, personnel, outreach and accounting matters in Ukraine. In consultation with IRI/Washington, the RPD designs and implements a long-range strategy for IRI programs in Ukraine, manages budgets and is responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations governing current funding.
Currently, IRI designates Ukraine to be an unaccompanied post and will not provide dependent allowances or any Separate Maintenance Allowance (SMA) for dependents inside the borders of Ukraine. In-country presence is required for this position.

Bachelors or better in Political Science or related field.
Undergraduate and graduate degree in political science, international relations, or a related field. Minimum of eight years of professional experience in democratic governance and politics, preferably working directly with government officials, political parties, civil society organizations and civic activists and/or legislative bodies and officials. Demonstrated technical expertise in democracy, human rights, and governance (DRG) programming.
