As a Residential Youth Worker, you will play a key role in the lives of young people currently living in residential services, supporting them to live safely within our houses and accompanying them on outings. It’s hands-on, often challenging, but can also be rewarding. You will help create an environment that promotes positive respect and provides care that meets a young person’s needs.

What’s on offer
You will receive a comprehensive induction and mentoring program to support your transition into the role and ensure your success. Our program operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shifts include 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and a sleepover shift from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm – sleep – 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
In addition to the base hourly rate and superannuation, you’ll also receive 25% casual loading. You can also increase your take-home pay by accessing salary packaging benefits, which can be used for living expenses such as groceries, bills, clothing, streaming services, and more.
Paid Parental Leave for up to 10 weeks.

About you
You will bring with you a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or other relevant recognised qualification. If you are currently completing your qualification or about to commence study in this area – talk to us, we may be able to support you.
You will also have:
- Current Drivers licence in Australia.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice.
- A passion for youth work, ideally experience in residential care
- Great problem-solving skills, and calm under pressure.
