The Conservation Trust for North Carolina is the host organization for the Resilience Corps NC AmeriCorps program that is a 11-month national service program.

Resilience Corps NC aims to meet our partners where they live and where their culture flourishes. In addition to achieving your needs and goals as an organization, Resilience Corps NC has three main program goals and cohorts of members: (1) Community Education – support environmental education and community outreach programs that focus on current and emerging needs surrounding environmental changes; (2) Disaster Support – deliver internal capacity building improvements for organizations and communities to be disaster resilient; (3) Environmental Stewardship – create opportunities for organizations to build and protect critical natural landscapes that reduce the effects of climate change.

We offer a living stipend ($31,000), health insurance, childcare assistance, and monthly professional development opportunities. In addition to program outcome goals Resilience Corps NC aims to build professional skills and leadership capacity in all our AmeriCorps members. AmeriCorps members will have extensive professional development opportunities, including: enrollment in NC environmental education certification program, workplace etiquette, project management, peer to peer shadowing, in-person group trainings, monthly networking seminars with community professionals on personality strengths, personal finance, conflict resolution, climate justice, and race equity in communities and the workplace.

.Participants who complete the program requirements (1700 service hours, satisfactory work, and completing the length of the term) will receive an education award of $7,395. Applicants should be able to commit to the entire 11-month program year, which runs from September 1st 2024 through July 31st, 2025.
