Resource Planning Specialist, Analytics, Strategic Resource Planning Branch

Job Purpose:

The incumbent develops analytical tools, reports, products and furnishes expertise in strategic resource planning to achieve optimal use of both core and non-core funds through the following areas of activities:

• Budget planning and formulation and integrated funds allocation
• Capacity building, training, advisory services and technical guidance
• Policies and tools for resource planning and management
• Support decision-making and UNFPA strategic priorities

Qualifications and Experience: 

Education:  

Advanced university degree in social science, statistics, analytics or data science, financial management, IT, engineering, business administration, economics, international relations, or similar.

Knowledge and Experience: 

• 5 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in analytics and data analysis, budget or financial management, programme management or other analytical functions at national and/or international level or in the private sector.

Other Desirable Skills:

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
• Experience with analytical work, data analysis, and reporting
• Data visualization skills and attention to detail
• Excellent computer and office software skills are necessary
• Experience working with Microsoft PowerBI is a plus

Languages: 

• Fluency in English is required; working knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.
