Information Officer – Resource Room Specialist
Full-time in Burlington and Grand Isle, VT
Are you passionate about educating others on environmental issues, such as the protection of our region’s lakes? We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to support the daily operations of the Colleen Hickey Lake Champlain Resource Room at ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain on the Burlington waterfront and support Lake Champlain Basin Program education and outreach initiatives in Grand Isle, VT.

What We Offer
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $50,000 – $60,000. NEIWPCC offers an outstanding comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees:
Position Logistics
This full-time NEIWPCC position will work 8 hours per day for a total of 40 hours per week, and is based out of the Colleen Hickey Resource Room at the ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT as well as LCBP’s office in Grand Isle, VT. The Resource Room is open 7 days each week, and this position will be part of a team that staffs the space on weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours events. This job requires 4 weekend days per month. A valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation are required. Travel to Quebec may be requested, for which a valid passport or enhanced license will be required. This position is not eligible for telework.

NEIWPCC is a regional commission that helps the states of the Northeast preserve and advance water quality. We engage and convene water quality professionals and other interested parties from New England and New York to collaborate on water, wastewater, and environmental science challenges across shared regions, ecosystems, and areas of expertise. Our mission is to advance clean water in the Northeast through collaboration with, and service to, our member states. NEIWPCC serves as the primary program administrator of the LCBP, and administers the Program’s personnel, finances, and contracts. The LCBP Steering Committee funds efforts that benefit the Lake Champlain Basin’s water quality, fisheries, wetlands, wildlife, recreation, and cultural resources.
