Restoration Technician

Do you like the outdoors, plants, or work that benefits our native wildlife? Landbridge Ecological is a full service ecological landscape firm located in Saint Paul, MN. Our work focuses on the design, installation, and management of native plant landscapes. The scale of our projects range from the smallest raingarden project up to multi-acre parkland. Projects are located primarily in the Twin Cities metro area, but may extend to outstate Minnesota and western Wisconsin. 

What we’re looking for: Restoration Techinicians. Our entry level position gives people field experience in our Land Management department. Primary tasks include invasive species control through techniques like herbicide application, mowing, chainsaw use, etc. Other tasks may include prescribed burning, seeding, planting, and applying erosion control methods. Technicians are our boots-on-the-ground applied ecological restoration staff. They should be prepared for being outdoors in a variety of conditions including heat, rain, snow, and ready to get dirty. But, watching these landscapes transform makes it all worth it! 

Additional roles within our Land Management department open for application include: Restoration Equipment Operator and Crew Manager. These roles come with higher starting wage for people with applicable backgrounds. Check them out if they fit your experience level.

Prevailing Wages. A proportion of our projects are such that the government determines compensation for the type of tasks to be performed. These projects are not guaranteed, but represent an opportunity to make wages above the advertised base pay above. You would never earn less than your base wage, but some projects can compensate at $50+/hour for on-job labor!
