JOB DESCRIPTION

The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) is seeking a full-time Results Management Coordinator to (i) support and coordinate its capacity building and training (CBT)’s results measurement framework and improve its monitoring process; and (ii) help develop strategic approaches for the evaluation of, and need assessments for, CBT activities in Asian Development Bank’s developing member countries.

Responsibilities

Under the day-to-day supervision of the Senior CBT Economist, the Results Management Coordinator will:

  • Manage and work on the results management for CBT’s monitoring process and demand assessment.
  • Compile and coordinate data within CBT and across the departments in ADBI for the analysis of ADBI’s results framework.
  • Incorporate the satisfactory survey results of CBT’s events in the results framework and regularly track, analyze, and report the progress and outcomes of the framework.
  • Coordinate with CBT task managers, associates, and supporting staff on data compilation and other tasks related to the results framework.
  • Convert the outcomes of the results framework to a progress report and PowerPoint presentation for the biannual ADBI Advisory Council Meeting.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to improve the use of the results framework and CBT’s database as ADBI’s assessing tools.
  • Identify future improvements to methodology, data collection and compilation, and the structure of the results framework.
  • Coordinate the outcomes of the results framework with the next stages of CBT’s event evaluation approach: mid-term self-assessment and long-term impact evaluation.
  • Liaise with other departments in ADBI or ADB on data compilation and analysis of the results framework.
  • Maintain and update CBT database platform.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the Deputy Dean and/or Senior CBT Economist.

Selection Criteria

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance, public administration/policy, international development, or international affairs/relations.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience; previous work with an international organization will be an advantage.
  • Well-developed research and reviewing skills, and the ability to produce high-quality presentations, reports, and analyses.
  • Familiar with data collection and management, and evaluation and monitoring processes.
  • Excellent organization, intercultural, interpersonal, and communication skills, including strong oral and written English.
  • Able to work well independently and as a constructive team member.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Office 365, PowerBI and PowerApp.
  • Currently residing in Japan and holding a valid full-time work visa.

Appointment Terms

The position starts with a one-year contract with a possibility for renewal based on performance and ADBI’s needs for the position. The Results Management Coordinator serves as an independent contractor in a personal capacity, he/she is neither officer nor staff of ADBI. ADBI provides a base salary and leave benefits but not social insurances. He/she will work under the direct supervision of ADBI professional staff.
