Job Overview:

Responsible for developing partnerships with major European financial institutions and banks, with business and product experience on retail banking, mobile banking, payments, open banking, card issuing.

What you’ll do:

• Cooperate with Alipay European and headquarter functions to achieve agreed objectives.
• Analyse retail banking market opportunities and needs by major European financial institutions, focusing on retail banking and payments.
• Monitor retail banking, open banking, profiling key players and business dynamics.
• Understand Key Accounts pain points, map sector business and technology leaders, and analyse in detail how mobile banking and mobile payments can further support growth and efficiency of Key Accounts.
• Establish relationships with key decision takers at C-level and operational level with major Key Accounts.
• Master banking payment products and mobile dynamics.
• Manage the full sales cycle to promote Alipay partnerships.
• Coordinate legal and compliance along the commercial negotiation process, where necessary.
• Coordinate product and tech along the implementation and integration of new solutions.
• Cooperate with acquirers to distribute Alipay offer with selected key accounts.
• Monitor Key Accounts’ performances and, where required, propose improvement actions.

What we’re looking for:

• Deep understanding of the online and offline EU retail banking industry, bank technology providers, open banking competitive dynamics at strategic, commercial, product and technology level.
• Very well-connected with major European Key Accounts and ecosystem players (e.g. retail banks, payment platforms, open banking providers), with C-level and operational relationships.
• Successful business development track record on major financial institutions.
• Strong ability in written and oral communication, with hunter’s sales skills and pioneering spirit.
• Able to work under pressure, within an international environment (Europe, Asia, America), with ability to adapt quickly to strategic changes.
• Deep know-how of Card payments, Alternative Payments methods.
• Deep know-how of mobile marketing, digital services and technology innovation trends.
• Working experience in financial sector.
• Experience with cross-regional experience is preferred.
• Team-working, result orientation, self-entrepreneurship.
• Language: Fluent in English, any other European languages are advantageous.
• Preferred working location: London.
• Open to travel across Europe.
