At London Wildlife Trust, our vision is of a London alive with nature, where
everyone can experience and enjoy wildlife. But right now, our city is facing a climate and
ecological emergency.
Here, as in communities across the globe, there’s growing disruption to the natural world. We
need to restore nature and we need to take action now. It’s not enough to just slow down the
loss of the natural world and protect what remains of our wildlife. We need to recover nature – at scale and at pace and the Mayor of London shares our vision and our sense of urgency.
That’s why we are so excited to be working in partnership with the Greater London Authority, as
we embark on two nature recovery programmes; a SINC review, and the London Rewilding Taskforce.
Role & Responsibilities

nature recovery programmes, which include:
a) a review of the criteria and process for identifying and ratifying London’s Sites of
Importance for Nature Conservation (SINCs) as key foci of a nature recovery network.
b) to progress the landscape-scale recommendations of the London Rewilding Taskforce towards
delivery stage of at least one large scale rewilding scheme.
To succeed in the role, you will need to be organised with good programme coordination skills
and a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be motivated by the opportunity
to demonstrate that nature’s recovery in London is possible and is driven to influence and
communicate this to a wide range of stakeholders.
The Rewilding Programmes Coordinator will work closely with the Nature Recovery Programmes
Manager during Summer 2024, before providing maternity leave cover from Autumn 2024.
