Job title: Womens Skill Training Program Field Coordinator, Hyderabad

Kriti is a not for profit organisation that promotes skills training and livelihoods for women and education of children. We work in the slums in Hyderabad. Kriti has a number of centres where training on skills such as tailoring and beautician is given to women. Through this training, we enable women to learn new skills and become eligible for a job.

We have four training centres for tailoring training courses under Project Milan at Rasoolpura, Suraram, Bhoiguda and Talabkatta. We are running beautician training program at Bhoiguda, Suraram and Tolichowki. Over 600 women every year receive free vocational training through Kriti and we look forward to helping the women start earning income through the program.
A full-time project field coordinator is required for leading the field activities for the womens skills training program. The field coordinator will report to the Project Manager. The responsibilities are given below:

Mobilisation of women for training:

• Dissemination of information through slum leaders, any centres present in the slum
• Distribution of pamphlets for mobilizing women
• Home visits to talk to women about the training and courses

Enrolment of trainees:
• Help trainer to fill up enrollment forms
• Counsel and shortlist students

Case stories:
• conduct interview of beneficiaries and write case stories
• write 2 case stories from every center monthly

Assessments:
• Visit the centers to conduct the assessments during the course of the program
• Tabulate the marks and attendance and update in system

Placement of trainees:
• Visit tailoring units, boutiques (tailoring) and beauty parlours for vacancies
• Accompany the students for interviews at different organisations
• Follow up with students and trainees after placement
• Build a database of beauty parlours and boutiques in the areas around each center and regularly keep in touch with them regarding placement and performance of our candidates
• Build a database of past students so that we can be in touch with the students about any interesting job opportunities that are identified
Explore areas for new centres
• Visit different areas in Hyderabad and get information about it
• Search for rooms in the new place

Skills/qualification required:
• Bachelors degree in social work or related field
• Min two years of experience of working in the field with the marginalised communities in Hyderabad
• Experience of conducting surveys and doing field work in the community
• Experience in skill development programs in tailoring with livelihood linkages will be a plus
• Strong communication skills in Hindi and Telugu is a must and ability to do softskills training will be a plus

Compensation: Rs 2.5L to Rs 3L per annum based on experience and qualifications
