Introduction :

In 2024, the project received funding from the Embassy of Ireland to support, among other things, capacity building in the area of energy management and audit. The project therefore intends to use part of the funds to conduct international certification training and examinations in Energy Management and Audit for 132 personnel from the private and public sectors. This capacity building is expected to enable professionals to carry out energy efficiency measures with a high level of professionalism and contributes to energy consumption reduction and reduction of carbon footprint. Through the training, it is expected that the institutional capacities of the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) will be enhanced so as to offer professional training independently in future, and beyond the lifespan of the project.

 To attain the required capacity building, UNDP is seeking an Consultancy Firm that will provide certification training and facilitate examination in Energy Management and Audit under the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
