RFP – TECHNICAL CONSULTANCY TO ADVANCE COASTAL RESILIENCE

tendersglobal.net

Introduction :

In Tanzania, including the coastal regions of Pemba, Unguja, Bagamoyo, and Tanga, the escalating issue of marine litter has emerged as a severe environmental threat, with plastic pollution being a particularly pressing concern. This challenge poses significant risks to marine biodiversity and ecosystems, while also impacting the health, well-being, and economic prospects of coastal communities, particularly affecting women and youth. The rapid urbanization and the accompanying insufficient waste management infrastructure have exacerbated the problem, underlining the urgent need for effective solutions.

Interested firms are encouraged to submit bids related to TECHNICAL CONSULTANCY TO ADVANCE COASTAL RESILIENCE THROUGH PROVISION OF INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO MITIGATE MARINE LITTER IN UNGUJA, PEMBA, BAGAMOYO AND TANGA
