If you agree, then we’d love to hear from you.Job DescriptionA great opportunity for a sales/licensing executive within the very active Global Rights Team at Taylor & Francis Books Division. Reporting into the CRC Press Rights Manager, the sales executive will be responsible for maximising revenue by licensing content from Biomedical Science, Healthcare, Life Science, Medicine, Veterinary & Pharmaceutical portfolio. Experience within a medical/pharma sales environment would be beneficial.This role is offered on a maternity contract basis of 9-12 months. This role will be worked predominantly from home in the UK, with regular attendance at our office in Milton Park, Oxfordshire, along with international travel to book fairs and to visit customers.You must have the right to live and work in the UK. Closing date for applications: 24th May 2024.What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain and increase rights revenue in a specific list of territories by implementing a sales strategy, forecasting growth, setting & meeting sales targets.
  • Building strong partnerships with international publishers, agents and various departments across the business.
  • Develop product knowledge enabling proactive marketing of titles.
  • Analyse and report on sales and territory trends whilst maintaining an awareness of competitor activity in various regions.
  • Represent the company externally at bookfairs and undertake territory sales trips.
  • Follow best practice and update the rights management database accordingly.

Qualifications

  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets; you will be proactive and demonstrate lead generation
  • Experience in academic, trade, or business/legal publishing would be beneficial. Interest in publishing is critical!
  • The ability to negotiate and close a sale. This requires a good understanding of commercial terms and print solutions.
  • A customer-focused mindset. We want our customers to have an excellent experience
  • Great communication skills and aptitude, whether via email or on Teams, so that the customers, the sales team, and internal stakeholders are fully engaged
  • An agile and inquisitive approach to problem solving, comfortable sharing ideas with colleagues and executing outstanding solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and discipline in maintaining records on our sales systems
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • A proactive, self-motivated and results driven attitude and above all, a real team player
