Position description

ZemiTek is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to serve as the liaison for Audit Risk Management: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA) and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) within the Asia Bureau USAID.

Location: Washington, DC
Work Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid (Report to office up to 3 days a week)
Starting Salary Range: $109,000 
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Responsibilities 

  • Lead audit response efforts within the Asia Bureau, managing risks, equities, and visibility for audits and inquiries from OIG, GAO, and SIGAR.
  • Collaborate with Mission audit teams, offering support in tracking, reporting, coordinating, reviewing, and gathering information for all Asia Bureau audits.
  • Develop and complete the operating unit’s risk profile, ensuring submission to the next management level and actively participating in the resolution of identified risks.
  • Contribute to the FMFIA process, supporting office directors in assessing the implementation of internal controls using URICA and ASIST tools.
  • Streamline FOIA requests for the Asia Bureau.
  • Undertake various tasks, including leading, coordinating, organizing, researching, analyzing, liaising, and managing activities related to project/program tracking, data analysis and documentation, program document preparation, communications support, country-backstop, field support, and general administration.

Qualifications 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ten (10) years of professional experience; Minimum 3 years of relevant audit experience.
  • MA/MS in Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a relevant field.
  • Preferred experience working abroad, particularly in the Asia region.
  • Expertise in general development, economics, democracy/governance, information technology, and/or stabilization.
  • Preferably, experience in project administration and management procedures.

Additional Skills Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet search engines, and e-mail applications (Google/Outlook).
  • Knowledge of risk management concepts, methods, and techniques, along with reporting and presentation skills.
  • Ability to implement risk management programs, analyze risk management, evaluate agency policies and programs for compliance with applicable laws, standards, rules, and professional risk management guidelines, and communicate effectively.
