The Dungeness River Nature Center (River Center), a community created 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is operated in partnership with the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe (Tribe), Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society, and National Audubon Society through a Memorandum of Understanding. The Center, located on Tribal land on the banks of the Dungeness River, 4.5 miles from its mouth in Dungeness Bay, consists of a 75-acre forested riparian park, a trail across the historic railroad bridge, a salmon habitat restoration site, an education classroom building, and an educational center with natural and cultural exhibits, gift shop, and classrooms. 

As the Executive Director, you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading a dedicated team and ensuring the smooth operation of all Center activities.
• Securing funding through grants and fundraising to support our mission.
• Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve our goals.
• Building strong relationships with partners, donors, and the community.
• Representing the Center and advocating for the Dungeness River Watershed.

To be successful, you’ll need:

• Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
• Proven skills in budgeting, fundraising, and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for environmental education and stewardship.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
