Do you want to learn how to connect people with their local environment as part of an exciting
engagement project? This is a brilliant opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team in
a starter role to help you into a career in conservation. You will be working on projects that
will make a real and lasting difference, helping to save our rivers and the species that rely
on them.
We’re on the hunt for three people to join our friendly team. You must be 18 or over, but you
don’t need lots of previous experience or qualifications to apply. We’re encouraging
applications from career changers, people who are out of work, students and graduates.
With support from WWRT staff, River Community Engagement Interns will work as a team to bring
together communities along the River Loughor, Carmarthenshire, to engage them with their local
river through a range of activities and events. The role will include both field and desk-based
experience, ranging from project planning to delivery of events. As well as the community
engagement focus of the role, interns will be given the opportunity to gain experience in other
aspects of WWRT’s river restoration work across West Wales.
Join our team!
- You do not need a degree or any formal qualifications.

to learn. - As the roles will take place in the Loughor catchment, preference will be given to those
