Responsible for day-to-day contributions to and supporting management of all aspects of program implementation such that all programmatic activities and administrative, budgetary, and compliance requirements are being met/exceeded according to ABA, Center for Global Programs, and donor processes and regulations.
Principal Duties/Job Responsibilities
• Contributes to work plan drafts and assists program team lead to track program deliverables against approved work plan and monitoring and evaluation plan targets and deliverables.
• Tracks all aspects of program implementation and oversees progress against budgets and workplans.
• Participates in proposal development and supports drafting budgets and other requirements.
• Assists with the recruitment of event speakers, consultants, experts, and pro bono partners.
• Supports logistical arrangements for domestic and international events and drafts relevant briefing materials, training, and workshop agendas.
• Drafts indicators and logic models for program monitoring, evaluation, and learning plans and undertakes data quality reviews and data entry in DevResults or other required MEL tracking system.
• Helps prepare reports and other materials provided to donors, including drafting and editing quarterly reports, participates in donor meetings.
• Oversees adherence to personnel and program compliance with ABA and other donor policies, practices, procedures, and regulations including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act [FCPA].
• Monitors program budgets, manages subaward finances, tracks expenses, and updates funding charts.
• Conducts desk research related to Center for Global Program initiatives, internal and external reports, and proposals.
• Drafts job descriptions for staff and consultants consistent with local labor laws, participates in panel interviews, trains new staff on processes and procedures.
• Supports programs’ adherence to data and personally identifiable information privacy regulations and branding waivers and vetting processes, country media monitoring and tracking political and environmental developments impacting safety and security.
• Coordinates with field offices and supports staff and program partners compliance with safeguarding and risk mitigation, contributes to drafting risk analyses and related protocols and contingencies.
•Performs other related duties as required.
Required Education, Qualifications, Experience
•Bachelor’s degree.
•At least two (2) years of work experience in a program management capacity.
•Basic skills in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience
•Knowledge of or master’s degree in [relevant region/country and/or subject area].
• Interest in commitment to rule of law, human rights, democracy and governance, social inclusion, and [other areas relevant to program/subject area].
•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
•Effective time management and a strong ability to multitask, adapt, and manage competing priorities.
•Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and familiarity with social media.
•Ability and willingness to be an effective team player.
•Fluency in written and spoken English.
•Language proficiency, if not fluency, in one or more other languages.
