My client, a prominent consumer law firm at the forefront of the legal industry, is currently undergoing a substantial transformation, emphasizing both people and technology to enhance accessibility to their world-class legal services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Advisor to join the team in Liverpool. In this role, the successful candidate will be tasked with the management of high-volume client matters, ensuring the delivery of a quality service while upholding strict adherence to business directives.

Responsibilities for this position include providing high-quality legal services to customers, with a focus on gaining competency to practice as a solicitor within a supportive environment. The Legal Advisor will also be responsible for efficient file management, including adherence to timescales and compliance with precedents, under appropriate supervision. Proactively progressing files towards settlement, managing inactivity, and handling complaints efficiently are crucial components of this role. Additionally, securing relevant medical reports, reviewing, and appropriately valuing them in accordance with company guidelines, Judicial College Guidelines, and Case law is a key aspect of the position.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess previous experience in:

  • running RTA fast track cases and a thorough understanding of the MOJ process is highly desired
  • An ability to assess and review medical reports of various disciplines is essential, along with proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite and relevant practice and business IT/case management systems.
  • Previous experience in managing cases within their area of expertise (dependent on the seniority of the role) is also a valuable asset.
