Established in 1982, Alzheimer’s WA provides care, support, awareness and information to assist people living with dementia, as well as their families and carers.
Our services include advocacy, education, partnerships, training, consultancy and holistic person-centred care programs, based on a philosophy of understanding the lived experiences of those living with dementia. We provide CHSP, HCP and NDIS packages and day/overnight respite in our four homes based in Perth, Mandurah and Albany.

Position Summary:
The Education Lead focuses on operational delivery and daily management of the education and training services provided by the Alzheimer’s WA Training College (RTO). This position is responsible for developing and delivering the business plan for the Education and Training team, identifying and managing key resources, and providing the leadership and management as required. This includes developing and maintaining internal and external relationships and networks and supporting the team to achieve the strategic goals of Alzheimer’s WA.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership to the Alzheimer’s WA education services team through the Training College;
- Support strategy, planning, and provide operational and technical guidance to the education team to develop and deliver both regulated qualifications across various Certificate and Skill Set combinations, unregulated community short courses/workshops, and fee for service professional sector learning and development;
- Develop the operating budget and plan;
- Ensure appropriate program delivery in respect to budgets, funding and contracts with an emphasis on program development and maintaining Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards;
- Liaise with existing and future education clients to develop and deliver education services;
- Support organisational goals to ensure high quality outcomes are achieved in line with contractual obligations and audit requirements;
- Lead the development and review of educational products and programs;
- Lead and manages direct reports including coaching, mentoring, and training as required.
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant experience in operational management in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), preferably within aged care or a related human services;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and completed units compliant with the current standards for RTOs;
- Sound knowledge of the National Qualification Process and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) compliance requirements coupled with knowledge of State and Federal training funding;
- Tertiary qualification in an area relevant to the position (preferred);
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a client base through business development and account management;
- Demonstrated organisational, project management and administrative skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to present and manage stakeholder relationships, time management and organisational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines;
- NDIS Check (or willing to obtain);
- Current WA Driver’s Licence;
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia; and
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate (3 doses).
