An exciting opportunity for a GPT2+ Rural Registrar to work in a supported team environment across four different health centres on Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria. The region offers exposure to a broad range of presentations across the clinics with a large ATSI population in 2 communities (predominantly Anindilyakwa people), as well as the local mining community comprised mostly of mining employees, local service providers (ie education, health, police), and their families.

The position is for a full time registrar working towards an ACRRM or RACGP fellowship. The site is additionally accredited for the AST/ARST in ATSI Health in respective colleges. The site has 3 permanent GPs who will provide clinical supervision as well as provide the required regional knowledge to assist you during your rotation. They have a broad range of clinical experience and expertise.

Registrars will be employed by the Norther Territory Department of Health and will be rostered Mondays to Fridays on a rotating roster across the regional clinics. The normal hours of work are from 0800am until 1636pm, with no rostered weekends or after hours care. The position comes with fully furnished housing including utilities and internet. The remuneration package and leave entitlements are very generous.

The Groote Archipelago is a culturally and geographically rich region.
