Rwanda teacher training project

This exciting project follows on from others in the past years with the Anglican Church in Rwanda. The main training will be centred on Nyamata Bright School which is 30 minutes south of Kigali. It is for nursery and primary school children with at least one teacher to each class of 35. There may be opportunities to also work with other schools in the area. 

Training requests include:

Active, participatory methods for teaching maths and science

Questioning techniques in maths and science

Techniques for making and setting groups of learning and appropriate assignments for young students in lower primary

Early childhood education in general 

Topics suggested by SVN volunteers will be considered.

The cost is expected to be around £1300 per person. For SVN members a bursary of up to 65% would be considered on request.
