Are you a motivated go-getter with a passion for safety, training, and community wellbeing? Shepparton Retirement Villages (SRV) is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Safety and Training Coordinator. The role reports to the Executive Manager People, Experience and Culture. At SRV, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional residential aged care services and independent living options for our aging community.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in Health and Safety
- Qualification in Training and Assessment (but not compulsory)
As our Safety and Training Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees, residents, volunteers and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing Occupational Health and Safety advice to employees, managers, and subcontractors.
- Cultivating a safety and wellbeing culture across the organisation.
- Conducting audits and risk management activities.
- Investigating accidents and incidents.
- Coordinating with external partners for WorkCover Claims and Return to Work services.
- Analysing data and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Developing and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
Training Initiatives:
In addition to safety responsibilities, you will oversee the development and implementation of training programs across our sites. This includes:
- Coordinating education and training activities, including orientation.
- Providing practical skill-based training to employees.
- Planning, budgeting, and implementing training programs.
- Managing the eLearning platform and tracking employee completion rates.
- Keeping abreast of training and professional development opportunities.
Volunteer Program Management:
You will also be responsible for managing our esteemed Shepparton Village Volunteer Program, ensuring our volunteers receive the support they need to thrive and contribute to our community.
