Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Manager to join the SH&E team. This role will be a primarily remote position, with some site visits required and can be based anywhere in the US.

Job Description:

  • Under limited supervision, manage one or more SH&E functions within a geography or group within a subsidiary. May manage the environmental safety and health function(s) on a large project.

  • Use independent judgment and provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

  • Review and approve site-specific Health and Safety Plans, Safe Work Plans, Task Hazard Assessments, and other SH&E documents

  • Review and approve subcontractor safety plans, JSAs, and variances as needed

  • Serve as “On-Call” support for the Northeast Geography

  • Plan and deliver SH&E training within geographical area of responsibility

  • Coordinate with other AECOM SH&E resources to meet the needs of project teams

  • Provide client support as needed

  • Audit SH&E activities

  • Conduct Project Safety reviews

  • Conduct incident investigations and participate in Executive Incident Reviews

  • Assist in the development of post incident corrective actions and Lessons Learned

  • Assemble data and participate in area and BL leadership calls

  • Participate in Healthy Start Calls

  • Participate in Project Manager Certification Interviews

  • Participate in/Deliver SH&E Stand Downs

  • Manage and update subcontractors in SubPort

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Safety, Health, Environment or a related field + 8 years of safety related experience, preferably within the field of Occupational Safety and Health, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Ability to travel to other facilities to perform inventory duties, using a AECOM provided Vehicle

  • For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior supervisory/managerial experience a plus

  • Further industry-recognized credentials (i.e., ASP, CSP, CIHT, STSC) are favorable.

  • Effective in both oral and written communications.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint applications

  • Capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance and/or per diem is not offered for this position.

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

  • Offered rate of compensationwill be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $116K – $140K USD annually.
