We’re looking for a passionate and driven Sales Account Executive – Sustainability and Carbon Offsets to join our team, dedicated to making a difference in forest conservation, wildlife protection, and community livelihood development. About the Role:
As a Sales Account Executive, you will be instrumental in driving our missing forward by engaging with sustainability professionals and advocating for forest conservation. You will focus on developing new accounts and managing client relationships, emphasizing the importance of incorporating REDD+ carbon offsets into sustainability strategies. This position reports to the Global Head of Business Development. This is a hybrid position where you will have to come to the Brooklyn, NY office 1-2 times per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition and Management: Identify, develop, and manage new client accounts, fostering long-term relationships that align with Everland’s mission.
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Educational Advocacy: Serve as a knowledgeable advocate for forest conservation, educating clients on the critical role of REDD+ carbon offsets in climate change mitigation.
- Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the marketing and project teams to create compelling sales presentations and materials.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and understand industry trends that impact Everland’s mission and sales strategies.
- Sales Reporting: Actively manage the sales pipeline and report progress on a regular basis as required.
Who are we looking for?
- Passionate about forest conservation, wildlife protection, and community livelihood development.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in sales or business development, preferably with exposure to the voluntary carbon market, sustainability, conservation or environmental sectors.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and an ability to manage data effectively in spreadsheets or databases is essential.
- Demonstrated understanding of climate change, particularly in relation to forest conservation and carbon offsets as well as sustainability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining productive client relationships and the ability to engage and build relationships with a diverse range of people.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Japanese and/or Portuguese language skills are desirable.
