This exceptional role will be an integral part of our Senior Leadership team working directly with our Business Unit Director and Operations Team , playing a crucial role in shaping our future strategy and sales plans to achieve our growth ambitions for our Vision 2028.The Sales Director you will have the responsibility of driving growth through the development and execution of sales plan.As Sales Director you will have the opportunity to build out a Sales Team of Account Managers and Business Development professionals to provide support on this growth journey.We are seeking a motivated dynamic sales professional who is ready to tackle challenges, possesses previous experience in the Information Technology sector, and shows passion for selling our core service offerings, including our acclaimed resolve managed service that forms a substantial portion of our digital platform solutions..   • Build and develop an energetic and ambitious sales team
  • Create our sales strategy for our key service offerings in collaboration with our Technical Architect and Operations Team.
  • Foster long-lasting and meaningful relationships with our clients.
  • Be part of the leadership team where your ideas & input are supported and valued.

This is a key leadership role within Sword, reporting to the Business Unit Director, and as such we require leadership skills and a desire to deliver results.Here’s what the role looks like:

  • Develop and Deliver (in collaboration with the management team) a successful sales strategy to grow and diversify our customer base within our target sectors.
  • Develop long-lasting and meaningful relationships to achieve “trusted partner” status with our strategic and key clients.
  • Provide sales leadership and develop the sales team to deliver our growth targets.
  • Lead commercial and technical pre-sales activities, working collaboratively with our domain experts and our delivery teams, to grow our existing accounts and deliver new business.
  • Actively participate in the authoring of proposals and tender responses to articulate our offerings to our customers.
  • Identify whitespace and develop new offerings, deploying coordinated business development campaigns in our core and emerging market segments.

RequirementsHere are the key skills and experience relevant to this role:

  • A demonstrable track record in sales, business development, team management and technical pre-sales.
  • A commercially focused mindset and possess the ability to deliver tactically and think strategically.
  • Be driven adaptable and enthusiastic, bringing energy and motivation to the team.
  • The ability to understand the customers business and correlate this with how the services can help our customers solve their problems by providing the right solutions.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced , high workload , agile environment with a strong emphasis on meeting team goals.
  • Experience selling managed services and technology solutions across multiple sectors.
  • The ability to communicate and engage at all levels of an organisation.
  • The ability to build a sales narrative which resonates with our employees and our customers

It would be advantageous to have:

  • Experience working within the Energy sector, selling services and consultancy in the UK and Europe.
  • Experience managing complex commercial and technical bids.
