About the Role:

The Sales Operations Manager will lead the support of program activities and strategies to achieve sustainable long-term operational goals, working with the Program Manager for Sales. You will oversee the Sales Operations and Training teams, promoting the development of our field team, including FCs, VEs, and others, to increase myAgro’s reach to more farmers. You will develop strategic and operational plans for the programs teams and will be a senior partner in collaboration with the R&D and Technology departments to improve growth, efficiency, and sustainability.

The Sales operations Manager will oversee crucial sales operations processes, handling monthly and yearly planning and budgeting for the Program Department, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration. You will enhance sales and marketing efforts by designing, testing, and refining projects based on feedback and results. Developing training and learning initiatives tailored to our vision and target audience will also be a priority. Furthermore, you will support pilot projects in collaboration with the R&D and Innovation teams, and boost productivity and reduce costs per farmer by using technology, simplifying processes, and automating tasks as we scale.

Reporting to the Country Director, this position is based in Bamako.

 

You Will

  • Lead the Sales Operations Team: Work with both Sales and Training teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Shape Sales Strategy: Use data analysis and system insights to guide our sales approach.
  • Boost Sales Efficiency: Support frontline sales teams to sell more effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee essential non-sales tasks including data quality, marketing, learning & development, sales territory management, knowledge management, and delivery support
  • Transform Field Support: Lead the improvement of field support and frontline teams to enhance overall program productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate on Innovations: Work with the Innovations and Technology teams to test new ideas, run pilots and provide feedback on initiatives to better VE support.
  • Oversee VE Program: Manage the Village Entrepreneur (VE) Program to strengthen relationships and increase VE activity rates.

 

You Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree (MS preferred) in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Territory Management, Agronomy, or Agribusiness.
  • Extensive marketing background.
  • Understanding of business and finance principles.
  • Experience leading diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of market dynamics in a competitive environment.
  • Fluency in both English and French; Bambara is a plus
