The Role
The Advisor, Crypto & Catalytic Philanthropy will support the execution and scaling of Save the Children’s innovative fundraising strategies across two core areas: (1) crypto and digital asset philanthropy and (2) broader catalytic philanthropy initiatives. Working under the Lead Advisor, this role splits focus evenly between managing and growing crypto-enabled fundraising channels and supporting catalytic donor engagement, partnership development, and innovative finance opportunities.
This is a limited-term position with an expected duration of 12 months.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Crypto & Digital Asset Fundraising (55%)
- Manage and steward a portfolio of crypto-native donors including Web3 founders, DAOs, and digital philanthropists.
- Execute crypto-focused fundraising campaigns, including emergency appeals and market-driven activations.
- Develop digital-first engagement strategies across Web3 platforms (Discord, Telegram, etc.).
- Translate blockchain and digital asset concepts into clear donor-facing communications.
- Track performance and optimize campaigns to increase revenue, retention, and donor engagement.
Catalytic Philanthropy & Donor Engagement (40%)
- Support cultivation and stewardship of UHNW individuals, family offices, and mission-aligned investors.
- Assist in developing and executing bespoke donor strategies and marketing materials tied to innovative finance and catalytic giving.
- Contribute to pipeline development and partnership management for new business opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop donor-ready opportunities and impact narratives.
- Help advance donors from traditional giving into catalytic and innovative funding opportunities.
Special Projects (5%)
- Support pilots across tokenized giving, blended finance, and emerging philanthropic models.
- Contribute market insights on crypto, private capital, and philanthropic trends.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels.
- Working knowledge of crypto, blockchain, or digital assets and strong interest in innovative finance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across two distinct but related workstreams.
- Professional proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Proven experience managing and creating solicitations and other outreach to donors to increase engagement and commitment.
- Proven knowledge and influence to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deepen major donor engagement and increase donor philanthropy
- Demonstrated detail orientation and exceptional strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Proven organizational skills and discipline in stewarding donor information and donor databases and records
- Proven listener with ability to understand the needs and motivations of others, find common ground and synthesize information into compelling narratives
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Blackbaud CRM
- Stewardship fund or similar program experience
- Experience in crypto fundraising, fintech, impact investing, or family office engagement.
- Familiarity with donor-advised funds, blended finance, or venture philanthropy models.
Compensation
Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:
- Geo 1 – NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $91,800 – $102,600 base salary
- Geo 2 – Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $83,725 – $93,575 base salary
- Geo 3 – Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $74,800 – $83,600 base salary
The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
