An exciting opportunity has become available for the right candidate to join 54Reasons as Family Support Specialist within our Secondary Family Support Program. This role will provide the right candidate with the opportunity support families with children 0-18 years, providing case management services through a child rights lens in order to create positive and sustainable long-term change for children and young people.

A place to make a difference:

In this full-time maximum term role available until December 2027 (with the possibility of extension), you’ll work as a part of our Secondary Family Support team in Brisbane to help us create lasting change for children everywhere.

You will make a difference by:

Providing support to families, children and young people using our case management framework

Support families to address barriers in the areas of housing, parental capacity, community access and education and child development

Develop rapport and positive working relationship with families and children in line with our practice frameworks, which includes our Cultural Framework and Child iview and Child Protection Practice Framework.

Using a strength- based, trauma informed and child- centred approach, develop case management goals and support families to meet these goals, making referrals to other service where appropriate.

This role requires:

A Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology or another relevant Human Services Degree

Experience working families, children and young people, experience in case management preferrable.

Experience providing case management to people of diverse backgrounds, including children and young people

Current Working with Children’s Check

Current Drivers Licence
