School Administrator

JCA was created to meet the educational needs of missionary families serving in South Sudan. As we grow, this is an exciting opportunity for an school leader to develop the school further to fulfill our vision of advancing the Kingdom of God by providing a high-quality Christian education for families serving in South Sudan.

Serving as administrator, you will be repsonsible for the day-to-day opertaions of the school and, working alongside the board, lead the strategic development of this essential school. You will provide support and direction for staff, direct school growth and help the school to steward the resources that God has provided. The administrator also provides educational direction in the curriculum and pedagogy, serving alongside missionary teachers from several different organizations  to foster a caring, family atmosphere in the school community. 

As we are a small school, the administrator continues to have some teaching responsibilites in varying capacities requiring flexibility and creativity. The administrator maintains high standards and strong pedagogical approaches to learning. Teacher recruitment and development are also an important part of this position. 

The administrator works with, and is responsible to, the school board which is made up of representatives of founding mission organizations and of parents. 

Leadership skills, educational experience and strong Christian commitment are required; experience within a cross-cultural environment is a definite plus in fulfilling the goals of this position.
