About the role
We are seeking individuals who have the availability to attend shifts at short notice, have their own reliable vehicle and have the flexibility to work across several locations. A positive attitude, great communication skills and strong focus on safety will assist in your success in this role.
The crossings operate for 45 minutes Monday to Friday between the hours of:
- 8am and 9am
and - 3pm and 4pm.
What we’re looking for (Key Selection Criteria)
- A current Working with Children Check and completion of a satisfactory pre-employment Police Check (mandatory).
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and without supervision.
- Ability to work within clearly defined procedures, policies and regulations.
- Flexibility to travel to any crossing within the municipality and to attend training sessions as required.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role.
- Ability to build a positive rapport with children, parents and school staff is essential.
- Good and clear verbal communication skills with previous experience working with children and the general public.
- Computer skills required for completion of online training.

This position is subject to a satisfactory Police Check, Employee Working with Children Check and Pre-employment Medical Assessment prior to commencement.
