The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is an alliance of over 230 national diabetes associations in more than 164 countries and territories. IDF has been at the vanguard of global diabetes advocacy for over more than 70 years.

We are looking to hire a well-structured, results-driven and enthusiastic Scientific and Education Project Coordinator to join us as a full-time member of our Education team.

This position will be a one-year fixed-term contract which could be extended.

The Scientific and Education Project Coordinator will be working from home and can be based anywhere. (If the applicant does not reside in Belgium, the employment contract will not be an employee contract but a consultant (self-employed) contract).

Purpose of role

This role is responsible for the coordination of the education training queries and for providing technical support for participants enrolled in online courses from the IDF School of Diabetes. This role will ensure participant enrolment, follow-up support, query management and satisfaction, and successful course completion.

Key Responsibilities and activities

  • Respond to participant inquiries;
  • Collaborate with the technical team to resolve technical issues;
  • Provide first-level technical support and escalate complex issues when necessary;
  • Assist participants in meeting deadlines and completing their training;
  • Send regular notifications and reminders to participants regarding missing documentation and course progress;
  • Maintain a knowledge base of common issues and corresponding solutions.

Skills/Competencies/Experience

  • Knowledge level Bachelor degree or similar through experience;
  • Three years of experience in a related position (administration/coordination in a healthcare or scientific environment is an asset);
  • High-level writing skills in English and French (other language skills would be a bonus);
  • Knowledge of standard business software, familiarity with online learning platforms;
  • Very good analytical and communication skills;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively;
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual, multicultural and international environment.
