About the Job:
Are you a passionate conservationist with a deep love for Scotland and Northern Ireland’s
unique wildlife? Do you have the drive to make a real difference in protecting the incredible
invertebrates that call these countries home? If so, we have an extraordinary opportunity for
you to join Buglife and lead our growing Scotland and Northern Ireland team!
As the Scotland and Northern Ireland Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our
impact and influence by forging new partnerships and overseeing the delivery of our charitable
aims and objectives. You’ll have the chance to lead the development of our freshwater projects
and pollinator conservation programmes, spearhead our efforts to prevent the extinction of the
UK’s most threatened species, and create opportunities for people from all walks of life to
connect with the wonders of the natural world.
You will be a powerful voice for invertebrates, influencing decision-makers and building
partnerships to recover nature at scale. You will manage a dedicated team of Conservation
Officers and be our spokesperson for Scotland and Northern Ireland. The role sits alongside our
England Manager and Wales Manager, and is supported by Finance, Administration, Advocacy, and
Fundraising & Communications teams.
We are looking for a talented individual with exceptional people skills and a knack for
identifying opportunities to expand our impact. Based in our Scotland Office in Stirling, you
will have the opportunity to travel around Scotland and Northern Ireland, and occasionally to
our Head Office in Peterborough.
