What you’ll do:
Guide and coach the team on ways of working, process improvements and agile principles.
Servant Leadership – empower the team to continuously improve and be an advocate for their needs and recommend / advise to support the organisation in agile ways of working.
Contribute to a positive team culture – promote self-organisation, collaboration and growth within the team.
Facilitate the delivery process including key ceremonies, events and tooling to enable effective delivery.
Work with the team to identify impediments and obstacles to their progress, proactively support them in resolving these to promote a productive working environment.
Become an expert in how the teams work and educate other functions and stakeholders on the teams’ values, processes and principles.
Build relationships and ways of working with other roles / functions in the department and co-ordinate and connect with other Scrum Masters across the business.
What you’ll bring:
1-2 years of experience as a Scrum Master (or similar role), embedded in a cross functional engineering team.
In-depth understanding of Agile:
Values and principles
Methodologies and frameworks
Excellent listening skills and the ability to see things from different points of view.
Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
A proactive approach.
Effective facilitation and coaching skills.
Growth mindset – an advocate for continuous improvement and open to learning.
BB and Talk
As OSS Broadband and Talk, we focus on enabling Sky to offer the best broadband, landline, and mobile products on the market. Our department’s role is to analyse, design and build enterprise level software systems that provision and support Sky Broadband, Talk and Mobile services.
We are a mature, Agile development team – our scrum masters, analysts, software engineers and testers work alongside each other to deliver high quality, bespoke software.
